Night time skin care routine | Simple and effective

Hola my dear sweet hearts πŸ’•! Now that Diwali is gone, I am slowly gearing up to my daily routine. πŸƒπŸ» These days I am getting more and more obsessed by skin care. I think there are phases in my life~one fine day I give more importance to makeup while the other days I am concentrating only on skin care.

Today, being in the latter phase, let me share my night skin care routine with you all. First and foremost, I am a super lazy fellow. Hence my routine is very simple and minimalist. I use only those products which are absolutely essential. The ones which can be ignored, are already ignored! 😜😜 I have bifurcated the entire process in steps. So let’s dive directly into the routine.

Step 1: Removing Makeup

This is the most important step which should never be missed! Never ever. No matter how lazy or tired you might feel. πŸ˜“ Most of the time I manage with Maybelline Clean express makeup remover, which I absolutely love, but I do keep Himalaya Cleansing milk and Biotique makeup cleanser (because I need some change!). The biotique cleanser is perfect for removing heavy eye makeup. A little on the greasier side but it contains good ingredients anyway, so can be managed.

Step 2: Face wash

For the first time I have invested (yes, literally invested) in AvΓ©ne Cleanance Cleansing gel. And so far, I am loving it to bits 😘. Look at the bottle, I’ve been using it (very very judiciously!) since 1st October and it seems it will go a long way. It is a gentle cleanser but removes the tiniest makeup residue very effectively! There is no dry/itchy feeling post wash and the fragrance is also very mild. It has made my skin super soft and those tiny little zits have disappeared! If you are looking for a cleanser which actually works, I highly suggest you to invest in this product.

A face scrub should also be used but I skip it most of the times. I rarely scrub my face, like twice a month or so. (See, lazy me!)😜

Step 3: Toning & Moisturising

I am about to finish The Biotique Cucumber pore tightening toner. It has a very strong fragrance and I am not so fond of it, but still using just because I’ve purchased it. Usually, toning is followed by rose water spray and a face serum, but I prefer to skip these. 😬 I directly apply my Fab India depigmentation cream as a night cream. Trust me, this cream gives results in the long run. I absolutely love it! 😘

Step 4: Eyes & Lip care

The only thing I do to take care of my eyes is using Vaadi eye cream. This cream is very greasy but is effective too. Once in a while (which is very rare) I apply castor oil on my lashes and eye brow. That’s it!

And last but not the least, a Lip balm follows all kinds of routine (morning, mid-day, night, whatever) for me.

So, what is your skin care routine for night? And which products/steps do you tend to skip like me? 😜Do share in the comments below.

    1. Thanks Deepika for stopping by and reading my post. Yes, we all tend to be either lazy or tired enough to skip the steps.

And yes, try incorporating toner in your routine. It will make a huge difference! πŸ€—πŸ˜˜

    1. You just can’t put Maybelline away once you’ve started using it. I really wish it came in bigger bottle but nevertheless, it is an amazing makeup remover.

  2. This is actually true! Being so tired at night, even I tend to skip most of the steps. But it is inevitably important to cleanse well to keep pores unclogged and let skin breathe free. Nicely explained. Loved your post, as always. 😘😘
